Gal 5:19-21 ESV

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, [a] drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do [b] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:22-23 ESV

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Renew

(Rom 12:1-2 KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Mortify

(Rom 8:13 KJV) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Pray

(Matt 26:41 KJV) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Respond

(James 5:13 KJV) Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Persevere

(Rom 5:3-6 KJV) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Grow

(Phil 3:13-15 KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Application: The desire that Jesus Christ wants you to avoid hits you. You, then think or say, "Heavenly Father, lead us not into temptation". One of 3 things will happen, 1) The desire will immediately leave you,  2) The desire will begin to diminish, or 3) Nothing. If it's 3, you will accomplish the desire. When the desire returns again, think or say, "Heavenly Father, lead us not into temptation". Repeat this process as often as necessary until your prayer results in outcome 1). Note: In case the desire could land you in jail or result in your death, then you must plea continuously  "Heavenly Father, lead us not into temptation" until the desire leaves you.
